A Lake Nasser Cruise from Aswan to Abu Simbel Visit the stunning Lake Nasser, Aswan and Abu Simbel on this delightful cruise

The construction of the High Dam at Aswan led to the creation of the world’s biggest man-made lake, Lake Nasser, and with it the opportunity to cruise its picturesque, unpopulated and tranquil waters on board luxuriously furbished vessels, visiting a selection of quieter temples and ancient sites. Many of these temples represent incredible feats of modern engineering, as they have been moved from their original sites to escape the rising waters brought about by the construction of the dam. King of all the wonders Lake Nasser has to offer is Abu Simbel and its two stunning temples, surely Egypt’s best treasure after the Great Pyramids of Giza and not to be missed.
A cruise on Lake Nasser allows you the incomparable experience of dining by candlelight on board your boat as it is moored beside Abu Simbel, and represents a fantastic extension to a classic Nile Cruise or any other holiday in Egypt.

The truly luxurious Eugenie epitomises all the class and glamour of a more elegant age with warm wood panelling throughout, plush red and green furnishings and velvet curtains, tasteful artefacts and antique furniture. There are 50 large cabins, 21 square metres in size, with twin or double bed, airconditioning, bathroom with shower, minibar, some with balcony. On board the facilities are excellent with a buffet restaurant, main lounge and bar, Safari Lounge with TV, library, cards table, videos, Cat Bar. There are two sun decks and the upper deck with a large pool and covered whirlpool bath, sauna, steam room, massage and also a shop.

Lake Nasser Cruises operate from either Aswan (three nights, flying back by air) or Abu Simbel (four nights, flying one way out by air). The cruise can be linked into any of our holidays or made part of a tailor-made itinerary. (Please note that itineraries may be subject to alteration locally.)
