Destination: Namibia

< Go Back
A Taste of Namibia- upgrade Namibia is a country of dramatic and often harsh landscapes. From the impressive Fish River Canyon (the world 's second largest after the Grand Canyon in Arizona) in the south to the biggest sand dunes on earth in the Namib Naukluft desert in the west. The Skeleton Coast is full of reminders of how unforgiving the ocean can be. In the north of the country lies Etosha National Park, offering wonderful game viewing and a contrast in scenery.
Add an interesting mix of colourful cultures, ancient rock paintings, unique plant life and friendly towns and you have a recipe for a truly rewarding vacation. Namibia also has one of the world's lowest population densities, so it is easy to get away from the crowds, and even Windhoek, the largest city and the nation 's capital, has a decidedly "small town" feel.

This self-drive tour of Namibia takes in the main sights and attractions of this diverse country. It stays in 3-4* hotels and lodges throughout, allowing you to safari and sightsee at your own pace. From the game parks of the north to the dunes and canyons of the south, you will witness Namibia’s breath taking natural beauty, as well as meeting the unique cultures and people that live within its borders. Good roads and little traffic make for easy travel.
