Arctic Alaska The scenery and wildlife of Alaska's arctic wilderness; mountains, tundra, fjords and glaciers

Though there are few true wilderness areas left in the world, Alaska is certainly one of them. The southern coastal areas are now readily accessible by ferry, but as soon as you venture inland there are few roads and few travellers. This trip reveals all the natural beauty of Alaska, from the picturesque fjords and glaciers of the southern coast, right up to the Arctic Ocean. Between lies a real wilderness of vast, open tundra and mountain ranges, where the summer sun never sets. There's wildlife too: bear, moose and caribou can be easily encountered, not just in Denali N.P., but in the wild throughout the trip. Our cruise across the Prince William Sound not only offers great views of the snow-covered mountains and glaciers, but also marine wildlife spotting: harbour seals, sea otter and sea lions. With opportunities for exploring, walking, canoeing and rafting, this trip is ideal if you like the outdoors and have a sense of adventure.
