Day 1 | SAIGON (HO CHI MINH CITY) Arrive Saigon.

Day 2 | MEKONG DELTA HOMESTAY We head south to the Mekong Delta and spend the day exploring the area by boat and on foot. Tonight we are guests of a local family. (BLD)

Day 3 | MEKONG DELTA - SAIGON This morning we visit an authentic floating market before returning to Saigon. (B)

Day 4 | SAIGON - REUNIFICATION EXPRESS Morning walking tour of Saigon. Afternoon excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels before we board the renowned Reunification Express for an overnight journey to Danang. (B)

Day 5 | HOI AN Arrive Danang and transfer directly to Hoi An where we have the rest of the day at leisure. A ticket to visit 5 sites in Hoi An is included in the tour and you are free to choose which ones to see. (B)

Day 6 | HOI AN Free day to explore Hoi An. Wander through the bustling markets or relax at one of the many street cafes. You could also cycle out to nearby Cua Dai beach. (BD)

Day 7 | CHINA BEACH - DANANG - HUE Drive along the coast via China Beach and Ocean Cloud Pass, the geographical divide between north and south Vietnam. Arrive in Hue and enjoy an afternoon cruise along the Perfume River to the Heavenly Lady Pagoda and the tomb of the Ngyuen Emperor Ming Mang.

Day 8 | HUE Morning tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Imperial City. In the afternoon there is free time to explore further or rent a bike to cycle out to nearby villages. In the late afternoon we transfer to the station for the overnight train to Hanoi. (B)

Day 9 | HANOI Visit Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and museum. Walking tour of the Old Quarter. (BD)

Day 10 | HALONG BAY We head out to Halong Bay and take a boat cruise through the spectacular karst scenery of this peaceful bay. We have time to stop to explore limestone caves and swim. A delicious seafood lunch is served on board. (BL)

Day 11 | HANOI - SAPA A full day at leisure before we board our overnight train to the beautiful hillstation of Sapa. (B)

Day 12 | SAPA A short drive through breathtaking scenery takes us to Sapa town. Afternoon excursion by road and on foot to remote outlying villages - home to some of Vietnam's most colourful ethnic minorities. (BD)

Day 13 | SAPA Time to relax. This afternoon we drive to Lao Cai for the sleeper train back to Hanoi. (B)

Day 14 | HANOI Arrive and transfer to our hotel. Rest of the day is free. (BD)

Day 15 | HANOI Tour ends. (B)
