Borneo Rainforest and Culture

A Private Tour of the jungles, parks and beaches of Borneo
Ref: MY01
13 days from £0 (minimum 2 passengers)
Destination: Malaysia  Borneo

< Go Back
Borneo Rainforest and Culture On this holiday you get to explore the jungles of Borneo, stay at a traditional longhouse and enjoy many of its natural wonders. At the end of the holiday you will have a few days to relax by the beach in Damai, one of the most beautiful on the Island.
Borneo is one of the worlds last great wildernesses. Its thick jungle is still home to thousands of types of flora and fauna as yet unknown to our world, and home to peoples untouched by our society. Ruled until just after the Second World War by the White Rajahs, a family of British Adventurers called Brooke who were granted what is now Malaysian Borneo in return for their work stamping out pirates and bandits in the area, its cities have an untouched feel to them. You are as likely to see a semi-naked Dayak walking up the pavement as a fashionably dressed office worker. It is the countryside that makes Borneo unique however. Beautiful birds, exotic flowers and unique animals, including the "Old man of the forest" the endangered Orang-utan, the closest living relative to ourselves.
