Day 1 | HO CHI MINH CITY Arrive in Ho Chin Minh City (formerly Saigon) and transfer to hotel. No meals

Day 2 | HO CHI MINH CITY Morning excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels

Day 3 | HOI AN A short flight to Danang then transfer to the old merchant town of Hoi An. (BD)

Day 4 | HOI AN Day at leisure. Hoi An is a favourite among travellers for its beautiful Chinese architecture, lively markets and picturesque seafront. There is lots to do; you can wander through the town, visit nearby Cua Dai beach or relax in one of the teahouses. (B) |
Day 5 | HUE A scenic drive over Ocean Cloud Pass to Hue. Afternoon visit to the Imperial City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. (BD)

Day 6 | HUE Morning cruise along the Perfumed River to the tomb of the Ngyuen Emperor Minh Mang and the Heavenly Lady Pagoda. In the afternoon you may want to hire a bike and explore the many villages and tombs in the countryside around Hue. (B)

Day 7 | HANOI Morning flight to Vietnam's capital. On arrival we drive to Halong Bay where we board the exquisite 'Jewel of the Bay' Sampan. This traditional style boat is lavishly furnished with private cabins, sun deck and a dining room where you will experience mouth-watering cuisine. We carry sea kayaks on board so you can take to the sea amidst the towering karst peaks or swim in secluded bays. (BLD)

Day 8 | HA LONG BAY After breakfast we leave Halong Bay and return to Hanoi where we have a walking tour of the old city. In the evening there is the chance to see a traditional water-puppet show. (BL)
