Canada - from the Atlantic to the Pacific - the Rockies, the Wilderness, the Prairies - French, English and other cultures. Explore the rich colonial history of Canada's bustling cities, discover unspoilt rugged landscapes and tranquil mountain lakes on this all encompassing cross-country trek.
North through New England to French Canada and the historic walled city of Quebec. For an exciting blend of cultures, visit Old Montreal's narrow twisting streets and pavement cafés and on to Ottawa - Canada's capital, to watch the changing of the Guard. Southwards, following the St. Lawrence Seaway to the Metropolis of Toronto. Shop in Eaton Place, or wander through Ontario Place.
See the spectacular Niagara Falls on the Maid of the Mist boat, then cross the Georgian Bay Ferry on Lake Huron into the unspoilt Great Lakes wilderness lands of Ontario. Canoe amidst the pristine splendour of the Lake Superior region. Witness first hand the Ojibway Indian lands near Thunder Bay. The Canadian Prairies - learn the history of Lower Fort Garry and visit the Mountie Museum.
Follow the sun west - names like Moose Jaw, Medicine Hat, and Swift Current - to the Rocky Mountains. From Calgary, we enter Banff National Park- swim in thermal hot springs or hike forested trails. North on the Icefields Parkway flanked by towering mountains to Lake Louise past the Columbia Icefields into bear country.
From Jasper National Park, we travel the Yellowhead Highway into the spectacular Fraser River Canyon - try a thrilling raft ride. Sample the delights of Vancouver's Gastown... visit Chinatown or ride a bicycle through Stanley Park. Down along the Pacific rim to the old goldrush city on the Puget Sound... Seattle.
