Flanked to the east by the Indian Ocean and to the west by the Atlantic, South Africa is a world in one country. A kaleidoscope of natural wonders and scenic splendours. A huge country, South Africa is the fabled land of gold. A rolling panorama of sub-tropical forests and unspoilt beaches, of historic Cape Dutch houses nestling in golden, sunlit vineyards and magnificent mountains shrouded in silver mists. Of vast arid deserts and superb game reserves. Of sophisticated cities and quaint little hamlets.
This 2 week tour has plenty of time to relax and explore at your own pace, but also takes you to the most famous places in Southern Africa. You start to perhaps Africa’s most beautiful city: Cape Town and are based in its heart on the V & A Waterfront. After exploring Table mountain and the winelands you head to Kruger National Park for 3 nights on Safari at one of the exclusive private reserves of the Kruger National Park. You finish at one of the Natural wonders of the World- the majestic Victoria Falls. |
Day 1 | Depart the UK | Day 2 | Arrive Cape Town. Transfer to the Comodore Hotel situated the Victoria and Albert Waterfront. The next few days are at leisure to explore Cape Town from this central location, with many shops, museums and restaurants all within easy walking distance. | Day 3 | Cape Town. As well as the sights of downtown Cape Town, there are many other things to see and do. A trip on the cable car to the summit of Table Mountain and a boat trip to Robbin Island are 2 of the most popular. It is also posible to visit the Wineland estates and in season, the coastal town of Hermanus to try to spot some whales. | Day 4 | At leisure in Cape Town. | Day 5 | At leisure in Cape Town. | Day 6 | At leisure in Cape Town. | Day 7 | Fly to Kruger to begin your 2 day safari. You are met at the airport and transferred to Chitwa Chitwa Private reserve. The next 2 days are spent on safari, enjoying morning and evening game-drives while relaxing at the lodge for the rest of the day. | Day 8 | On safari. | Day 9 | On safari. | Day 10 | Fly to Victoria Falls via Johannesberg. Transfer to the Vic Falls Hotel, one of the most famous hotels in Africa. Alternative hotels are available on the Zambian side of the falls if required. | Day 11 | At leisure at Victoria Falls. There is plenty of time to explore the area and view one of natures most dramatic vistas. The noise can be deafening and the spray get you very wet! | Day 12 | At leisure at Victoria Falls. Other optional activities include a day on safari and the "Flight of the Angels", a spectacular flight over the falls. | Day 13 | Fly to Johannesberg to connect with your flight home. | Day 14 | Arrive UK |

| The Commodore Hotel The hotel is located in the V & A Waterfront - one of the most popular destinations in Sdouth Africa and offers limitless views of South Africa's Mother City. The Commodore is spacious enough to accommodate 236 rooms, as well as its guests' needs for individual space and serenity. The 198 Superior Rooms are all decorated to a nautical theme - some display the dynamism of the harbour, others the quiescence of Table Mountain. All rooms have individual aircon, television, tea/coffee making facilities, bathroom with bath, shower and toilet.
