Day 2 | CAIRO See the treasures of the Egyptian Museum and visit the great Pyramids & Sphinx at Giza where we enjoy a guided tour. (B) |
Day 3 | CAIRO – ALEXANDRIA Morning drive to the Mediterranean city of Alexandria. In the afternoon we have a guided tour of the Graeco Roman museum, catacombs and Pompey’s pillar. (B) |
Day 4 | ALEXANDRIA – CAIRO Free morning to explore Alexandria before we drive back to Cairo for the overnight sleeper train to Aswan. (BD) |
Day 5 | ASWAN Arrive in Aswan and transfer to our hotel. A full free day to explore the town with its vibrant markets or perhaps take a felucca cruise around the islands of the Nile. (B) |
Day 6 | ASWAN - NILE CRUISE Free morning when you will have the chance to visit the magnificent temples of Abu Simbel before we board MS Amy in time for lunch, and begin our cruise to Luxor. (BLD) |
Day 7 | NILE CRUISE Two days of leisurely cruising on the beautiful Nile River. We stop along the way to visit the riverside temple at Kom Ombo and the temple of Horus at Edfu. On reaching Luxor we ride in horse drawn carriages to the amazing Karnak temple complex. (BLD) |

Day 9 | LUXOR We get up before sunrise to ride sturdy donkeys to the Valley of the Kings. Our route back offers superb views of the Nile Valley and passes the Colossi of Memnon. Overnight in Luxor. (B) |
Day 10 | LUXOR – HURGHADA Transfer to Hurghada on the Red Sea coast. The afternoon is free for you to relax on the beach or swim in the Red Sea. (B) |
Day 11 | HURGHADA - ST CATHERINE Rise early to board the Hydrofoil from Hurghada to the Sinai, then transfer to St Catherine where we spend the night near the foot of Mt Sinai. (BD) |
Day 12 | ST CATHERINE – CAIRO We get up early to join pilgrims in climbing Mt Sinai for sunrise. The views from the top over the Sinai mountains are absolutely magnificent. In the afternoon, transfer back to Cairo. (B) |
