Kariwak Village- Tobago TOBAGO IN A NUTSHELL
The southernmost of our choice of Caribbean islands, and just 7 miles off the coast of Venezuela, Tobago is a step back in time – it's laid back and the local people are both charming and welcoming. Together with its sister island, Trinidad, the rain forest supports abundant flora and fauna but Tobago also has the lion's share of beautiful beaches. It's comfortable without being manicured, slightly on the wild side yet blissfully tranquil at the same time. Whilst the advent of direct flights from the UK has opened up tourism, Tobago is still unspoilt. We have an extensive selection of hotels and villas to suit most tastes and we are sure that you will love Tobago as much as the Caribtours team does.

CARIBTOURS' PERSONAL VIEW
Rebecca recalls "One of my favourite memories is of our boat trip across to Little Tobago with some of the best snorkelling I've ever experienced and some fantastic birdlife. Lunch at Gemma's Treehouse was also very special." Gemma's favourite spot is Buccoo Reef for snorkelling whilst Fiona (who has family links with Tobago) recommends "Sunday School" at Buccoo – a vibrant street party every Sunday evening.

DID YOU KNOW...?
Tobago has changed hands over 31 times from local Amerindians to the British, French, Dutch. Goat racing is the most popular sport, mainly at Easter – the "jockeys" race with the goats on leads behind them! The steel pan originates from Trinidad and was first introduced in 1945 for VE Day.

There are few hotels left in the world that offer this delightful blend of simple accommodation in a meditative atmosphere and rustic charm.

The owners’ holistic approach to life is reflected in every part of this unique hotel and those seeking an escape from the real world should look no further.

The large herb garden helps provide the freshest flavours in the excellent cuisine, which attracts Tobagonians and overseas visitors alike.
