< Go Back
Mont Blanc Ascent This is an exciting opportunity to climb Mont Blanc (4808m.) led by professional UIAGM guides.

The week is based in Chamonix,France and the mountain huts of the Mont Blanc Massif. The first few days will be used to practise snow and ice skills, and this is followed by some warm-up climbs and scrambles to reach some other lower summits; possibly the Aig de Tour, Tete Blanche or the Petit Fourche. These will be rewarding in their own right as demanding peaks and will aid your acclimitisation as we hope to reach 3500 metres. The attempt on the Mont Blanc itself gives you the chance to stand on top of Western Europe’s highest mountain! Experience of ice-axe and crampon techniques is recommended but not essential for this climb as training is given and technical equipment can be hired in Chamonix. It is essential to read the Trip Notes, as these give full detail of the likely conditions.

Our prices are based on twin share accommodation. If you book your own (many people do), we arrange for you to share with a person of the same sex. On some trips it is not possible to do so, we offer an optional single supplement in the price list. On some trips it is not possible to guarantee single accommodation for the whole tour; where this is the case further information and prices can be found in the Trip Notes. If you would like a single room or tent on a particular holiday you should contact the office for details. Where we are unable to guarantee single accommodation you may be able to arrange and pay for it locally. If you are a smoker we ask you not to smoke in your room or tent if sharing. Please note on certain trips single accommodation is not available due to local operational conditions.
