Day 1
Depart the UK on your non-stop flight to Johannesberg.
Day 2
Arrive Johannesberg and connect with your flight to Windhoek. On arrival you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel the Hilltop House. Built in 1958, the Hilltop House has been renovated into a lovely bed and breakfast establishment, catering to discerning travellers. Perched high above Windhoek, Hilltop House enjoys a relaxed and peaceful setting with wonderful views of the city extending to the mountains in the distance.
Day 3
Today your Group N vehicle will be delivered to your hotel and you will depart for Sossusvlei. In the heart of the Namib lies Kulala Desert Lodge. Small and personalized the lodge is an ideal base from which to explore the Namib Desert, which is renowned for its unusual and captivating beauty.
Day 4
Your second day at the lodge. From the comfort of the wide wrap-around verandah you can watch wildlife at the waterhole while enjoying the ever-changing colours of the imposing dunes, alternatively you may just wish to relax beside the plunge pool.
Day 5
Today you will depart from Sossusvlei via the Namib Naukluft Park and Walvis Bay to Swakopmund. Approximately six kilometres outside Swakopmund town centre, in a perfect location right on the beach, lies Beach Lodge your base for the night.
Day 6
Today you depart Swakopmund and drive to Damaraland Camp. No camp more effectively displays the sustainability of desert life than this exclusive, luxury - tented experience. Inland from the Skeleton Coast, and often shrouded in early morning mists, Damaraland Camp rests amidst the ancient valley carved by the ephemeral Huab River. With exceptional guides and some patience, the reward can be the elusive Desert Elephant and the Black Rhinoceros, both endangered.
Day 7
Second night at the lodge.
Day 8
Today you will depart Damaraland Camp and drive to Etosha National Park. Etosha is Namibia's premier wildlife park. It has great concentrations of game and there are wonderful views out onto the salt pans which dominate the centre of the park. You will stay 2 nights at Ongava Lodge.
Day 9
Ongava also has white rhino on the reserve, so guests may be assured of a fascinating variety of game. Birdlife is abundant - ostrich, pygmy falcon, and all the raptors may easily be found. Some of the local "specials" are the short-toed rock thrush, Hautlaub's francolin, freckled nightjar and Meyer's parrot.
Day 10
Today you will depart Etosha and drive to Okanjima which lies nestled in the unspoilt beauty of the Omboroko mountains, part of the Namibian Waterberg Plateau. Situated just 225km North of Windhoek, Okonjima is a pleasant drive from Windhoek and is an ideal stop-over en route to or from the Etosha National Park. The lodge has ten luxury en-suite double rooms and a secluded swimming pool surrounded by beautiful English gardens where a variety of birds and animals may be encountered.
