Venezuela is one of South America’s most glamorous countries. In Caracas oil has brought wealth and modernity. Merida is Venezuela’s adventure playground. If hiking, horse riding, white-water rafting or biking are your thing, you will love Merida. The region around Canaima and Angel Falls is stunning and no visit is complete without seeing the World’s highest waterfalls. As rivers go, there are not many to compare to the mighty Orinoco and we will explore the delta by boat staying with the Warao Indians. For Caribbean beaches and wildlife we visit Henri Pittier Nat. Park and the Pampas grasslands of Los Llanos. In the former, live over one fifth of the world’s bird species and the latter is home to caiman, anaconda and is the best place in Venezuela to experience the country’s wildlife.
Operating our own fully equipped vehicles with two western crew members allows you secure hassle free travel. You will travel in a comfortable well maintained, safely driven expedition vehicle that will take you from A to B with a minimum of fuss. Our vehicles are fully lockable and have safes for added security. This trip provides a secure way to explore an unfamiliar world.
Most people will be aged in their twenties or thirties, but we do have a number of older participants. Our groups are international and they come from all walks of life. The mix of sexes is usually even, some come as couples but most are individuals. Some come as seasoned travellers, others are just starting out. But what they all share is a love of adventure and discovery.
