Day 1 | Depart London Heathrow on scheduled Thai Airways International non-stop, non-smoking flight to Bangkok. |
Day 2 | Arrive Bangkok and connect with Thai Airways flight north to Chiang Mai. Arrive and transfer to the medium grade Royal Princess to check in for 2 nights in a Superior Room on a room only basis.

Day 3 | At leisure. Thailand’s second largest city, is only a fraction of the size of Bangkok and a great place to potter either on foot or by bicycle. There is plenty to occupy you around the city including numerous Buddhist temples and the large night market.

Day 4 | Depart by 4WD vehicle heading north to visit a Palong Village (recent immigrants from Myanmar) with a stop at Chiang Dao Caves. Visit Mork Fah waterfall before arriving at Lisu Lodge.
The Lodge has been built next to a Lisu village, especially for visitors, with the aim of bringing employment and much-needed cash to the community. Nestling among trees and built in a local style the lodge comprises 24 cubicles each with private facilities and shower. No air-conditioning, no TV, no telephones and meals are taken seated on the floor.

Day 5 | Today can be as active or as leisurely as you please. You can travel by truck, bike, elephant, bamboo raft, Ox Cart or on foot – or a combination of all six - as you explore the surrounding countryside. Return to the Lodge for a guided tour of the village to see some of the local customs.

Day 6 | Return to Chiang Mai and check in at the Royal Princess for 1 night. Rest of day at leisure.

Day 7 | Transfer to the airport for Thai Airways flight to Phuket. Pick up your hire car (Honda Civic 1.7 Auto). Our vehicles are supplied by BUDGET from their modern, air-conditioned fleet and each has radio and automatic transmission. Rates include Loss Damage Waiver (excess applies) and unlimited mileage.
Drive north from Phuket across the bridge to Phang Nga Province to the medium grade Khao Lak Resort (1.5 hrs). Check in for your 3 night stay in a Superior Room on a bed & breakfast basis.

Day 8 | Time to explore the wealth of places in the area including the 5-tiered waterfall at Khao Lak Lam Ru National Park; stone carvings at Wat Narai Nikayaram; and Khao Sok National Park.

Day 10 | Depart for Krabi, past dramatic limestone karst scenery, and arrive at the medium grade Andaman Holiday Resort (3 hrs). Check in for your 2 night stay in a Superior room on a bed & breakfast basis.

Day 11 | A day to explore. Perhaps visit Krabi Town; Khao Phanom Bencha National Park, home to several species of mammals and over 150 species of birds; and Wat Tham Sua, a famous temple set in caves where you can climb 1,272 steps for a wonderful view of the area.

Day 12 | Car hire ends at Krabi Airport (45 mins). Fly to Bangkok.
