Day 5 | Travel by slow boat nto Laos and Pak Beng, visiting Pak Ou caves on the way.

Day 6 | Arrive Louang Prabang; rest of the day free to enjoy the tranquil atmosphere or visit the waterfalls.

Day 7 | Two full days in sleepy Louang Prabang with a visit to the museum and Kwang Si Falls.

Day 9 | Fly to beautiful Vang Vieng on the banks of the Nam Xong River.

Day 10 | Free day to relax in this idyllic town; take a boat ride, explore the caves in the spectacular limestone karsts or visit the many surrounding villages.

Day 11 | Drive to the capital Vientiane; afternoon walking tour.
|
Day 12 | Drive through spectacular mountain scenery, enter Vietnam and arrive at Vinh.
|
Day 13 | In Vinh visit the birthplace of Ho Chi Minh, then drive to Hanoi.
|
Day 14 | To Halong Bay and cruise among spectacular limestone formations; seafood lunch on board and then return to Hanoi.

Day 15 | Visit one-pillar Pagoda and the Old Quarter then board the overnight train to Hue.
|
Day 16 | Arrive Hue; visit the Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba market, and cruise on Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda.
|
Day 17 | Visit Tu Duc and Khai Dinh mausoleums by bicycle. Short drive to Hoi An.
|
Day 18 | Full day sightseeing in this beautiful historic trading town set on the Thu Bon River.
|
Day 19 | Short transfer to Da Nang then fly to Ho Chi Minh City; afternoon sightseeing in this old colonial city.

Day 20 | Day trip to visit the Cu Chi tunnels, a Vietcong stronghold or free day in Ho Chi Minh.
|
Day 21 | To Vinh Long for a night in a Mekong Homestay.
|
Day 22 | Transfer by road to the Cambodian border and Chau Doc.
|
Day 23 | To Phnom Penh; sightseeing including the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and memorials to Cambodia's grim past at Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and the 'Killing Fields'.

Day 24 | As above. Day 25 Continue to Siem Reap; sunset visit to Angkor Wat.
Day 25-27 Two full days to explore the amazing temple complex at Angkor including Angkor Thom, the impressive Bayon and Ta Prohm Temple.
Day 28 Fly to Bangkok.
Day 29 Optional day trip to Kanchanaburi and the Burma Railway, or free in Bangkok.
Day 30 End Bangkok.
Day 31 Arrive UK.
