BANGKOK A free day before taking the overnight train to Chiang Mai.
Day 3
CHIANG MAI Arrive Chiang Mai and transfer to our guesthouse. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 4
CHIANG MAI Two full days to explore Chiang Mai. Options include traditional Thai massage, Thai cooking lessons, exploring the fantastic night markets, excursions to Doi Suthep or hilltribe villages, or a day trip to the Golden Triangle. Overnight train back to Bangkok.

BANGKOK Arrive Bangkok and transfer to our guesthouse.
Day 7
KANCHANABURI Depart early for Kanchanaburi where we visit the Bridge over the River Kwai, JEATH Museum and War Cemetery. There may be time to take a ride on the 'Death Railway' built by allied POWs that links Thailand with the Burmese frontier. Afternoon drive to Nakhon Pathom where we board the overnight train to Surat Thani.
Day 8
KOH PHA NGAN Travel by local bus and ferry to the beautiful island of Koh Pha Ngan. On arrival in Thon Sala we board local pick-up trucks for an unforgettable ride across the island through rainforest to Thongnaipan Beach.
Day 9
KOH PHA NGAN Three full days to enjoy activities like jungle hiking, snorkelling, swimming and boat trips to surrounding areas. Alternatively you can spend your time soaking up the sun on one of the nicest beaches on Koh Pha Ngan.
