The National Parks Self Drive Tour This trip is for those who love the great outdoors and who are looking for the great American Wilderness. Starting in Billings Montana this self drive itinerary takes you to some stunning national parks including the Great Falls, the Glacier National Park and Yellowston National Park. This itinerary leaves you plenty of time for hiking and a chance to get out of the car in these stunning unspoilt areas of wilderness.

Ranch America's guests often wish to spend part of their holiday visiting other states and cities during their vacation by using a self-drive car. We can offer you a comprehensive choice of hand-packed tours visiting areas of historic and cultural interest. These tours can be used in conjunction with any of the ranch stays shown in this publication or can be booked independently. A group B car will be provided by Hertz or Thrifty Rent a Car and will include unlimited mileage. CDW, LIS top up cover and taxes. Ranch America will provide maps and other relevant materials when making your reservation. Some of the daily mileages are quite high and you do need to consider this carefully when planning your holiday. If you would like to extend your stay at any point on the tours shown, please call reservations. Many hotels offer complimentary parking.

Day 1
Arrive Billings pick up rental car. Overnight BW Ponderosa Inn.
Day 2
Drive through forest an d ranch lands of one of America's largest states to Great Falls. Overnight Holiday Inn. Approx mileage 225
Day 3
Continue west to Glacier National Park. travelling across the Going to The Sun Highway. Overnight Rising Sun Motor Lodge, Glacier Park. Approx mileage 200
Day 4
Continue touring in Glacier National Park, there will be time for hiking in the park before departing by the west entrance and travelling to Kalispell. Overnight Westcoast Kalispell Centre. Approx mileage 50.
Day 5
Travel along the Flathead Lake and onto Missoula. here you will begin to travel east around the mountains. At Butte you travel south to the historic area of Virginia City/Nevada City. Overnight at the Gray Wolf Inn West Yellowstone. Approx mileage 371
Day 6
A short drive will bring you to the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Time to visit the Old Faithful Geyser Basin. Overnight in the park at Grant Village Lodge, Yellowstone. Approx mileage 135
Day 7
Continue touring in the park to see the canyon with the Upper and Lower Falls. Return to Billings via Cody or Mammoth Hot Springs or the Beartooth Scenic Highway. Overnight BW Ponderosa Inn. Approx mileage 225.
Day 8
Time for last minute shopping before returning your rental car.
