Day 1	CAIRO Arrival day. No meals.
Day 2	CAIRO A guided tour to the Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza. Free afternoon. (B)
Day 3	CAIRO - BAHARIYA We drive through the Western Desert to the oasis of Bahariya. You can visit the natural springs and there is the option of a bedouin dinner in Beir El Ghaba. (B)
Day 4	BAHARIYA - WHITE DESERT Using 4WD jeeps, we explore the Black Desert, the crystal mountain, and the fascinating White Desert. We spend the night sleeping out in the desert. (BLD)
Day 5	WHITE DESERT - FARAFRA - DAKHLA Drive through spectacular scenery to Farafra. Visit the old mud-brick town and Bader Museum before we drive to Dakhla. We also stop to visit the Old Islamic City of El Qaser. (B)
Day 6	DAKHLA - KHARGA Drive to Kharga where we visit the Temple of Hibis and the fascinating necropolis which dates back to the 4th century. (B)
Day 7	KHARGA - LUXOR Drive to Luxor. Free day to explore the town. (B)
Day 8	LUXOR - ASWAN Rise early to ride donkeys to the Valley of Kings then return past the Colossi of Memnon. Afternoon train to Aswan. (B)
Day 9	ASWAN A free day to explore the beautiful Nubian city of Aswan. There is time to visit the magnificent temples at Abu Simbel. (B)
Day 10	FELUCCA CRUISE We board our traditional feluccas for a three day cruise to Edfu. We stop en route at Kom Ombo where you can go ashore to visit the riverside temple. All meals are provided on board. (BLD)

Day 13	LUXOR Disembark in Edfu and transfer to our hotel in Luxor. In the afternoon we take horse drawn carriages to Karnak for a guided tour of the magnificent temple there. (B)
Day 14	LUXOR - CAIRO Our train journey back to Cairo takes us past the towns and farmlands of the Nile Valley. (B)

FLIGHT EXCLUSIVE PRICE Local payment USD $135 TRAIN CHANGES The Egyptian Government might impose changes to the trains tourists are allowed to travel on. Many of our adventurer tours in Egypt make use of overnight 'seater' trains between Cairo and Luxor / Aswan. At the time of going to press these trains continue to be in operation and tourists are allowed to travel on them. However, there have been indications that this may change at some point in 2005 and that tourists will be required to use the more expensive 'sleeper' train. Whilst we are lobbying against this change, if legislation is introduced we will unfortunately be compelled to use the sleeper trains and to charge a US$35 surcharge per journey.
