Located on the southern boundary of the Hassayampa River Wilderness about an hour's drive from the small town of Wickenburg is the Williams Ranch. Breathtaking sunsets resembling molten red lava against black mountains and plenty of wildlife are to be found in this beautiful and remote area. Sure footed horses are needed in this terrain and depending on your riding ability you can experience two or four hour rides over rocks and steep ridges but always in the safe hands of a wrangler. Moonlit rides are taken sometimes and the river is a great place to splash about in and cool down! Old mines can be explored and there is hiking to be enjoyed as well. Cattle work is part of this ranch and you can join in or just relax and enjoy the peace and stillness. Accommodation at the Williams Ranch is rustic but comfortable and cosy, set in a bunkhouse with shared facilities. Family style meals are served in the main ranch house.
