Egypt was once described as 'the gift of the Nile', by the ancient Greek traveller and historian, Herodotus. The Greeks, the Romans, the Pharaohs, the Turks, the British and the Arabs have all ruled Egypt, and modern Egypt in an amalgam of these legacies and the influences of Islam and the 20th century. Highlights of Egypt include the ancient Egyptian monuments and the beauty of the Nile. This is the perfect short trip for those wishing to experience the ancient Egyptian sites and the tranquility on the Nile by Felucca and includes the Great Pyramids, the High Dam Sadd el Ali and the Unfinished Obelisk in the Pharaonic Quarry, the Valley of Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Nights spent under the stars aboard the Felucca on the Nile make this an unforgettable experience.
On the Felucca the space between the benches is used for storing luggage and covered by planks, which form the deck. Rugs are provided for comfortable seating. The food is cooked in the Upper Egyptian or Nubian way and can be spicy. There are no bathroom facilities on board the boat but plenty of opportunities for stops.
